The School of Education and Communication (ESEC) of the University of Algarve (UAlg) informs that it accepts expressions of interest for the teaching of curricular units in the area of mathematics.
Market consultation of mathematical education professionals
The Higher School of Education and Communication (ESEC) of the University of Algarve (UAlg) informs that it accepts expressions of interest for the teaching of curricular units included in the curricular plan of the Basic Education Degree, Pre-school Master's and Master's in Year 1-4 Basic Education Teaching, and Mathematics and Natural Sciences in Year 5-6, available for consultation at https://esec.ualg.pt/curso/1483.
https://esec.ualg.pt/curso/1785 and https://esec.ualg.pt/curso/1792 respectively.
Those interested must have:
- Higher Education at the level of Bachelor/Professional Master's Degree in Mathematics or Mathematics (Educational Branch, Year 7-12 teachers) or Year 1-4 Teaching Degree (with specialisation in Mathematics) or Year 1-6 Teaching Degree (with specialisation in Mathematics);
- Training at the academic Master's level in Mathematics for Teaching or Pedagogical Supervision (specialty of Mathematics) or Didactics of Mathematics, or experience in teaching Mathematics in Year 5-6, Year 7-9 or Year 10-12;
- Higher Education at the PhD level in Mathematics for Teaching or Didactics of Mathematics or Pedagogical Supervision and Teacher Training (with a thesis in the field of Mathematics);
- Experience in teacher training at the level of the first years of education.
The deadline for expressions of interest runs from 15 December 2020 to 15 January 2021; it must be formalised via an email addressed to the ESEC director, Professor Dr António Lacerda ( diretoresec@ualg.pt ), which must include a copy of your curriculum vitae and copy of your certificate of academic qualifications.
The acceptance of expressions of interest does not oblige ESEC or UAlg to conclude any contract in civil service or in any other kind of service.
